Do you think cartoon today are less educational than us carton?

I dont think the cartoons are any better or any worse than what they always have been.

Sad some of the net works flog to death some catoons of poor quality, maybe they got them in the throw out bin of the cartoon work-shop

I think that a bunch of the cartoons on the television today are less educational than the old cartoons,because it seems that more and more cartoons are turning to violence and bad language just to get laughs,and I miss the old cartoons that used to teach kids good morals,and good life lessons,I think because of some of the cartoons I used to watch are part of the reason I turned out so good.

Not only are they less educational, they are more stupid and definitely more rude than the cartoons of our day. Before we get into it, we have to realize there were always two separate types of cartoons, educational, and just fun. The educational cartoons nowadays are about the same if not better than the ones we had in the past. But the new "fun" cartoons are really going downhill. I miss the old cartoons where they didn't have to worry about politically correct. On top of that, they were truly original cartoons every one, and not just cookie cutter types that are really just thirty minute commercials for the toy line. You are hard pressed to find a truly good cartoon from nowadays. That's why I watch the Boomerang Cartoon Network Channel. They have all the old but great cartoons, well not all of them, but that will change once they hire me as a program director lol!

I've always looked at cartoons for entertainment and not for education. I definitely prefer the cartoons of the 80s and 90s as they are more wholesome and fun and entertaining. The cartoons these days are less entertaining.
About cartoons being educational - I dont think they were ever educational (except a few of them!)

That's hard to say. First, I hardly watch today's cartoons because I don't have time for it. Second, there may be the generation gap and therefore we may not appreciate today's cartoons. I think the new generations are usually do better than the old generations, and therefore I think the cartoons shall be improved.
