we have just brought a new front door and i am undecided as to weather to put a letter box in the door so that the post can be pushed through or weather to get a post box on the wall out side, what do you think would be best.

I have always envied you people in the UK because you can have the convenience of your mail being pushed through a slot in the door, so I say go with the letter box!

I am also from the UK but have always preferred a post box ... at the end of the drive ... because I have dogs! The further away the postman, the better! Plus I have lost more than one credit cards to a Rotweiller. If you've got dogs, kids, cats, anything that can muck your post up, get a box.

i think you may be right here, we have a rotty, a 3 year old child and a 5 year old child so most of my post has to be pieced back together to be read, post box it is then. thanks

yes, i think having a post box is more practical. and besides, a post box can accomodate larger parcels, too.
