I'm worst then you, i'm 30 and all the kids here just called me "ah pek" (old man). Kids nowadays, what to say bout them man...........

"old" cannot be the apt word... but still "aunty" is somewhere near it!!! and guess wat.. i ve been called that way...lol

Old is said to bring wisdom but I fear that not to always be the case.
'Old' is not at all offensive to me either.

Old or not I'm ME and how it comes across has nothing to do with age I feel.

My son is 30 and has many friends and I have fun with all of them from since they were school age. We have fun but when required I also become the old lady I'm supposed to be. Though then comes the question: who decides how we are 'supposed' to be?

I think many people decide old by age. I don't believe in that. Age can not make you old. No way. It is your thoughts that makes you old. Not the age. Even a 25 year person can be old i think. As long as your thoughts are young, so you are also young.

Yes age is just numbers and does not always put people into cateories I agree.

Indeed it was intended as an insult - but it backfired because the person it was aimed at (me) just has a brick wall in front of her when insults let loose

I have a son of 30 and we get on fine. Whether he sees me as 'old' I don't know but as he is heavily involved in music and plays drums as one of his activities, I get to know wherever he is playing and I'm very often among the youngsters in the audience with no problems for any of us (them or me).

As you say growing up together age is not noticable and as long as fun can be had by all it's unimportant too.

Why is it that when we are young we wish to be older (though I understand your 'problem')? Life runs away so quickly and we don't really realise it until it's too late to stop.

You know mw for a long time on here and know I have fun. It would take a LOT more than that to upset me (can't really remember when I was upset last). Older doesn't always mean wiser but I hope I'll get there - wiser Imean because ikder is gradually arriving

I mean this is so ungreatful, we come here to have fun and earn money, why post some insult words? What's is the point of that this person ruin his/her own image at mylot. And gain (-)rates, from members that read the post. Even though probably the person who got insult never read the post, right?
