| |  I have myself a Canon A540, it is very similar to A580, I believe the difference is in the processor.
Your camera has better and newer processor, but all features are the same I think.

| |  I worked in electronics department a few years ago and one of the most important things for a camera to have is optical zoom. I had a couple canons in the past 2 years, they were my husbands choice. But I always liked Minolta the best, not the digital Minolta but 35mm! lol! UNTIL my husband got a Sony DSLR A200, it is made with Minolta quality. I love the sound of the single lens reflex and the lapse between photo taking does not take as long, you can continually shoot photos and not have to wait. This is by far the best of the best and I am photographer with experience. I hated the digital camera world until my husband bought us this camera.
