Strange cat

You should take that cat to the Vet to make sure it is disease free. Especially if it bit you.

That cat my not be mentally ready for an owner. If it is scared, something bad may have happened to it.

I would definately have a Vet check it out.

Been done to death on Craigslist and the like. Most people use a pic of a possum or skunk.

i think you should keep it with you but go back to the place you found it and advertise the fact that you have found this cat just incase there are some concerned owners looking for there pet, you could put notices on the trees and lamp posts in the area where you found the cat with your phone number on and see if anyone claims him.

Just leave the cat alone for the time being, and see if it begins to roam around the house. Most times cats like to get acclimated to their surroundings before they commit to remaining. If he doesn't get used to the house and the people soon, then I guess you better let him outside, maybe put some food and water out there, and see if the cat returns

I think the cat you brought home is now feeling more lost and confused and missing its oweners. If the cat looked well fed etc you should have just left the cat alone as I'm sure he would have gone home on his own. If he is underfed etc then you should take him straight away to the cats home to be looked after, he may have a diease or something else not nice and if he bites you you may catch something.
I don't think you have acted in the cats best interest.

Um...your pic is of a ring-tailed lemur. They are primates, not felines, although their latin name is lemur catta (which is where I suspect the idea to use the photo came from). Unless you are near a zoo or are living in Madagascar, you didn't find this animal while out biking.
