My lump,my lump,my lovley little lumps of .....?

Uhm now it's funny you should mention lumps
No lumps here! I had completely forgotten they even exist!
It will be interesting to see if others are familiar with lumps or not.

I live in the US, and sugar cubes have been around a long long time. I use them when my husband and I go camping for his coffee. I do not drink coffee. I'm not sure what brand you have, but dominoes sugar cubes are relatively small in size. My husband takes 2 tsps also. I think each little cube is probably about a half teaspoon. I think we thought the same thing too, that two would be enough, then we realized how small they are. That goes for the little packets of sugar, they are less than a teaspoon as well. Whenever my husband buys coffee out, he always use four sugar packets. WHO KNEW

Have no clue why its different lol, I put like 6 tablespoons of suger in my coffee or other stuff lol. Hell in kool aid I put like 6 cups lol.

The kids like the sugar cubes but I do not use them at all I would think like you that two would equal two teaspoons. Put a few more in and you will have a good sugar buzz going.

I just use, erm, loose sugar lol not in cubes. I have two sugars in coffee and tea and I drink a lot of coffee so we tend to get through a lot! It's quite cheap though, at Heron, so it's ok

I'll take a wild guess here and say that it's because a spoonful of sugar contains more sugar than a cube of sugar.

Sheez I thought one lump would equal one teaspoon also Loud.
Might work out expensive buying lumps.
I buy a bag of sugar and put it in containers.
Hubby is the only one who uses it.
I have not taken sugar in tea or coffee for 36 years now.
Phew, someone made me tea with sugar in it one day, spew burgers I could not drink it.

I don't have sugar in my tea, coffee or hot chocolate, or any hot drink at all so i do not have your dilemma! I guess the answer must be that sugar lumps are not as big as a teaspoon. They are nice to melt on your tongue as an occassional treat...yummm

you would think it wouldnt be that much difference since the cubes are so tightly packed.. i have both since a certain kind of alcohol drink i had bought had to have cubes.. but i dont use them for anything else though..

Wow! I had no Idea. I would have thought that each cube would be a teaspoon also.. That had to be VERY sweet. YUCK! LOL.. I take my coffee usually wih some 2% milk. I like my hot tea with sugar and Milk. Lately I have been using Splenda in my tea, to save on a lot of calories. It doe snot taste bad. And I really do not notice any after taste. I have been recommending it to everyone!

I hope that your at least saving a little money, sence you only need to use on cube per cup!
