|   Hi friends, while returning from the vegetable market, I saw a person selling ear buds at 30% of the regular price. They looked like those of a reputed brand though. I asked the person to give me 6 packets, but he denied selling. On asking the reason he said, Sir I know you, don’t take this, and please get from the chemist’s store. What he told next was really shocking. It was made from the all the dirty, blood and pus filled cotton, which is washed, bleached and used to make these cheap ear buds. Let me add here that my family normally doesn’t use the costly ‘ready- made’ buds, but we use home -made buds by wrapping sterilized cotton on a clean stick. You may ask me, what for I was going to purchase? Well I use them for cleaning my computer keypad and things of the kind.
So, friends, unless you want to become the first person in the world to get Herpes Zoster Oticus (a viral infection of the inner, middle, and external ear) of the ear and that too from a cotton bud, DON'T BUY THEM!

| |  I was shocked to read this about cotton buds, it's disgusting, and surely illegal. Surely the well known brands are not made in the same way? They would have to pass some kind of quality control, surely.
I use the ready made ones which we buy from the shop, but now I will re-consider, and make my own.

| |  I use bobbins to clean my ear, Professor. Good old fashioned coconut oil and later a little poking around with bobbin. The ENT specialists will be shocked. But who cares about ENT specialists? Certainly not me! I am the last person to listen to any doctor. ;) Our ancestors used coconut oil followed by bobbin or crows feather or chicken feather, and they never even had the need to go to an ENT specialist. I am following their policy.

| |  I use Q-tips and i get them from the store,like grocery store or drugstore.I clean my ears often to make sure my ears are clean.I have never bought any off the street..I do agree these Q-tips are very handy for other things other than the ears,the computer being one of them..

| |  Ewwww!!! that is gross! We have those cheap items too sold here in my country but I just don't buy them because I do suspect that there may be some hocus pocus in its making. It even a lot cheaper and sometimes cost on 20% of the original. I just can't accept that and made me think that its much cheaper for very good reason. Again...yuck! I can't imagine using something sooooo unsanitary on my person.
