OMG you sound like me, I would have said the same things! I love it when parents have no control over their children and then act like it's the small child's fault for acting like they do. There are plenty I see that shouldn't have children. My neighbor behind us was yelling at her kids, the youngest is around 4, the other two are probably around 5 and 6, and I said, to my s/o, loudly enough for her to hear, 'it's no wonder some species eat their young' she just looked at me, didn't say a word. Just the other day, the little girl somehow broke one of the small window panes in their backdoor, and of course, they yelled at her! Didn't once ask if she was okay. And they wonder why their children grow up yelling and cussing them out! Is it any wonder when that is the example they are given. If she said the 'f' word once to that child she said 50 times.

But my dear, you are showing that you are indeed not an idiot by acting like that, and are therefore no longer worthy of the crown.

Actaully, good job. I agree with a previous responder; sounds as though this woman could use some parenting classes.

Wow...I am trying to figure out how are they in the house! She is totally a bad example for the kids, no wonder we have a lot of rude and bad manners people because it is what they have as their environment! I feel for the kids!

I hope in a way she will realize what you have said,,,it will absorb in her head and she will try to evaluate her role as a mother to her children!

See, this is why I say as humans we need more natural predators. This woman wouldn't even EXIST if survival of the fitest really was in place.

And her actually having children defys current scientific theory about sperm competition. She certainly does not seem to be the best an male could get to carry on his genetic coding. Yikes.

And, as much as it would have probably done her good to be smacked smart, you did the right thing. There is NO way you can tell your children, "Violence solves nothing." or even as I tell my son, "Violence is only the very last measure. Exhaust all other methods many many times first.", unless you actually live what you say.

Oh...and heatherfeather80...next time say, "Spayed." and then mutter something about "...we put down rabid dogs..." :D

Ha! That's funny, I mean the way you wrote it. I would have taken a bunch of candy and thrown it in the cart, that would have occupied those kids for a while while I calmly spoke to the mother. I would have said, "You need to take these kids and go home, the video cameras in this place are state of the art and you're probably being recorded right now. Leave and don't come back until you've cooled down."

She sounds completely overwhelmed. I had a hard time with one! But seriously, call the police, explain the situation and give a full description. Offer to be a witness if necessary. This week here in the Philly area, we watched a case of a 14 year old that was starved to death by her parents and DHS...and now lawyers for her estate filed suit against the city of Philly and DHS!!! Some people are capable of anything!

Some parents are really lacking in parental guidelines.
How could she slapped her daughter hard? Such a cruel heart.
Sometimes having lots of children can make mothers more often
irritated. But still no excuse for slapping her daughters arms
like that.

That's horrible. I always cringe when I see mothers behaving this way. She obviously wasn't raised right herself. I'm right with you. Those exact words would've flown out of my mouth as well. And maybe a few others.

Wow if she smacks her like a maniac at the store.. What does she do to her at home when no one can see her... Good for you saying something though.. Might make her think before ever doing it again,,, I hope,, I doubt it.. but I hope..
