How do you choose books to read?

I usually choose books to read by topic, and if I read books by the same author, I make sure that they cover pretty much the same typic, or topics that interest me,. I would not read a book on something that totally disinterests me just because it was written by a certain author. There are authors that I like because they constantly write books that are of interest to me.

I normally go for the fantasy/weird/mystery type read.
I become bored easily with non-fiction type books.
I need a good story to become absorbed in as I normally read to escape
from real life.
I have a few favorite authors that I lean heavily towards when
purchasing a book.

i am not much of a book reader. but when i feel like i wanna read one, i choose something depending on the story. i look at the title and if it looks interesting, i go to the last page and read a little summary (introduction) of the story. if i feel like i will be hooked to it, i buy it (or borrow) and start reading it at once.

I generally tend to choose books by my favorite authors, LUV, but I will sometimes buy a book based upon a good review. I am also a fan of series books. If I like the first book in a series I tend to also like the follow-up books.

I love books about personal growth, business, and financial matters. I believe that we are never as good as we could be. Reading is a wonderful way to stimulate our brains.

I pick books that friends recommend. I also read reviews and decide from there.I have some favorite authors, too. If I like a book by a certain author, I will try another one. This doesn't always work out, though. I have had one book be great and the next book be a real dog. I appreciate, too, knowing if a book could be classified as "R" rated. Very often I am reading along and am suddenly stunned by what I have run in to!I wish book reviews would rate them somehow.

I usually read one Ive heard about on the TV for instance i just got through with Barbara Walters new one audition which by the way was a good easy read i liked it a lot!

When I decide to purchase a new or different book it is usually because the author, art work and the title catches my eye. Then I read the back of the book (I only buy paper back books)I then check out the author if it is a new one to me. I don't pay any attention to what the best sellers list recommend because I have found that I don't agree with them. The only book That I read from the best sellers list was Dan Brown's Da Vinci code because of all the hipe it was causing. It was a disappointment for me.

First I go for Authors Ilike to see if they have written anything new
Thenif none of them have I go looking thru tosee the covers read some of the reveiws thats on the back. If it sounds good I get it.

I choose books that are to do with the paranormal and others to do with my pagan life plus genersl books of knowledge an d fact..fiction doesn't appeal to me nor do romance novels your friend littleowl
