What makes Superman a Superman?

are you kidding??? he's Superman because:

he can fly.
he has x-ray vision.....can see through walls and melt metal with his vision.
he can stop bullets with his skin.
he can pick up extremely heavy objects like an airplane or a house.
he can go around the world in a matter of minutes.
what else does the poor guy have to do to prove he's super to you?.........bake you a cake?

it's the tights and red boots. you have to be something special to go around like that!

Well, he might be everything and anything you guys can say... but to me, a real man doesn't wear "underwears" over his pants!:)

he is superman because he can do things that normal people on earth can't and won't do. Half of his being Superman is cause by the people around him and half of it is because of what he is. He won't be superman if he is not a good guy and do those noble things. And people won't also consider him superman with just his powers alone.
