Do you think it's better to buy or lease a car.

I personally prefer to buy. If you pay it off, you're done. After your lease you still have no car. Some prefer to trade up/in yearly for a new model. That plan isn't for me.

Hi Mzkuma, I have always bought outright for any car, never new on finance and never leased, I was lucky that I could buy trade for a lot of years but I like to know I really own something so never have credit of any sort. Will save then buy. Ellie :D

That's great Ellie. We bought the Toyota in 97 for cash (had a big one time windfall)and it was a 96. I love that car. I don't plan on gettting rid of it unless it truly flat-lines.

It is best to buy a car. Unless you won a business and need a write off, leasing a car doesn't work.

I can't see the logic in it for myself Sedel. I know some people who only lease and get a new vehicle at least every 2 years. That's scary to me to pay out for tears and never own the car. And have to watch the miledge too? They'd make a killing from me on that alone probably.
