Hello, I was just playing with OPK as I have so many at homes. I did tried to test the day prior to my first day of heavy bleeding. The result was negative, there was no line at all. Today is my third day of heavy menstrual painful period going on 4th day. I want just want to see if I will be fertile. I tested just a minute ago and it turn out positive faint line. It looks like my fertility is here sooner that I think. I am trying to get pregnant. That is why I bought so many Preg test and OPK. Note, that My cycle runs to 30 to 34 days. What do u think? Is there any woman would start their fertile days in the 4th day of cycle and possibly will ovulate 7 to 10 days since AF? Im excited as I need to get going baby dancing so that I will not miss this ovulation day. Anyone? Pray for me as I am dying to have a child. I am 34 and been TTC for 1 year with no luck.

The thing about ovulation predictors (OPK's) is that in order for them to be positive the test line must be as dark or darker than the control line. A faint test line means nothing. They are not like HPT's - with a pregnancy test, any faint line is a positive. So you probably have a while yet. If your cycles are 30 to 34 days, expect a positive opk no sooner than day 12 of your cycle. Yeah, I just find that out. I still keep on testing to not miss the peak fertile days. Because according to my last month BBT chart I did ovulate 25 days. It doesn't sound right. So hopefully this time I can really pinpoint the opk positive days. Thanks!
