|  I really have this passion in writing. When I get bored, I write. When I feel sad, I write. When I'm happy, I write. I write about anything under the sun, anything I feel.
I love writing poems...
Here's my poem:
WHY
Why do people hurt you?
why do they lie?
Why do they say you have no right?
When they let you into their life.
Why do people love?
Why do they leave?
Why do they become sad?
When you want them to be happy with you all their life.
Why do they let you love them?
Why do they let them love you too?
Why do they leave you?
When you don't want to leave them too.
Why do people get hurt?
Why do they feel the pain?
Why do they fool you?
When they are supposed to be loving you.
Why do they make you cry?
Why do they take you for granted?
Why do they say goodbye?
When you don't have the reasons why.
Why do they continue to love?
Why do they love to love?
Why do they long to be loved?
When you're loving them too much.

but poems not quite
The meanings get hazy
and the rhyming drives me crazy.....
No I don't like writing poems to be honest and unless I had to back in my school days, never do. I love writing in general but most poems just don't click with me for some reason. I guess it also comes down to what you call "poetic". For example Shakespeare is poetic and I love Shakespeare!

| | Poems don't need to be in rhymes all the time. You can makes poems that don't rhyme at all as long as the message is there and you're able to express what you want to say or feel. I also love Shakespeare's literary works because they are really amazing. | | | |

| | I do realise they don't have to rhyme and was just being silly! lol. One poem I HAVE always found wonderful is "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. If you have never read it here is the link..... Let me know what you think!

"The Raven" is quite long but it is really a beautiful poem. I though rhyming really drives you crazy that you will not be able to like what Edgar Poe wrote. Why not try making some poems that will not rhyme at all. Maybe you'll like the outcome. =) | | | |

6 poems? I think you really like the girl to make that number of poems. It's also easy for me to write poems when in love and sad. When in love because there's a person inspiring me to write everything. When sad, I become too emotional that I just let the words of my poems say what I feel and make others feel it. Maybe the reason why you can't be able to write poems because you are overwhelmed with the happiness you are feeling that you can't explain it and just let yourself feel the moment that you are happy for some reason. Your husband must be very happy that you had 3 poems composed for him. | | | |

That is a beautiful poem but it feels as thought you have been really hurt at sometime or other and yes I love writing poems too and some my poems has been publish in a magazine an I only write poems for myself and no one its how I feel.

I also composed a song many years ago but I couldn't play the guitar so I was not able to put some accompaniment. My best friend liked it also. | | A teacher in high school once said that I got the "power of the pen". That was long ago when i still join and win contests. I was even "Journalist of the Year" in grade school. But just this year, I shared one of my works at emanilapoetry.com, and got some not so good critics. Somehow, it was so arrogant of me to still think Im good at what I do -- not anymore. I still write sometimes, but i cannot come with a winning piece anymore. Used to believe that "If words are my means to capture the world the same are my tools to lacerate the soul". Maybe my muse would meet me again anytime soon.. and maybe by then, ive already shrugged the melancholy off my shoulders.
