Do you like to send your letters through post office or E-mail? |
| |
| It is of old practice s of now and totally gone are the days in writing letters to others. But writing letters has now become old practice and the question arises AS STILL WE NEED POST OFFICES TO POST OUR LETTER. However many people do write letters even though they do have the Internet facility and of course they know everything. First mainly I do have the habit of sending posts and greeting cards and later I find very comfortable with my mails and I hope very useful nowadays with this type of facility. Do you have the habit of sending mails through post or mails would it be fine if you confine yourself with mails or finishing with posts? However life has got some taste and each individual has the option of choosing any of THE OPTIONS. Suppose if the system of posting I mean post office itself would get eradicated then what would do you will your solution. Would you stop posting the letters or can have some other option? However many people would have been under great stress when the net availability has gone down due to some reasons and it would frustrate others for anything. | | | | | |

| | Other than a few bills I send out, most everything else is done through email, or online, I wonder how the post office still operates with all the online banking or paying of bills, and letters that are now done by email, birthday cards, etc. I hate going to the post office, we have one right across the street and it is the hardest thing for me to go there, isn't that funny. I think it is the fact all can be done within a few minutes instead of it taking days to get there. | | | | | | |

| | Internet has sinificantly reduced the burden and cost of communication, for all purposes. I was earlier sending all my letters through post office, but to-day I do mostly prefer to use the net for almost all correspondences except some restricted official letters. One day or other, post office services will completely change with more innovative facicilities and tools to cope with the changing communication technology and changing taste, habit and needs oof the people.Besides, work life has become so hectic and over sretched, everyone is now concerned about how to minimise time, energy and effort in all usal activities including inter-personal communication. Have a nice day !! | | | | | | |

| | Harsha, The internet and email has changed the entire world of communication, atleast for me. It's been ages since i've written a letter an to be frank I do not really remember the last letter tha i wrote and how long ago. Even if the internet in itself does go down for some reason, its become so much easier to talk to people on the phone. Having said this I do miss writing letters. There is always a charm in writing and especially reading one. | | | | | | |

| | For me, I prefer to email my letters to friends. But for those who don't have internet facility(there are still many places in my country that don't have this) mails through post office are better. Secondly, post office is required to mail official letters and statements. So, I don't think they would do away with a post office that soon. | | | | | | |

| | I still use the post a lot. In many cases, especially when dealing with organizations and governments, you have to send stuff through the mail. | | | | | | |

| | If I don't have an email address I will obviously use the post. Some people are better written to in the post and not many people realize this. We definitely need the postal service since there is alot of stuff that are better sent by post mail. We also need couriers which the postal services provide. It will be a long time before emails replace the post offices and even then that might take some doing. | | | | | | |

| | I like e-mailing since it's free and saves on gas to drive to the post office. But I understand that it's sometimes more exciting to get a letter in the mail instead of always the inbox. | | | | | | |

| | I usually send letters via email but have a few relatives that don't have email so have sent cards and letters via the post office. I do post a lot of parcels too so if they took that away then I would probably go courier, but that would be expensive. | | | | | | |
