Do you take valerian root?  |

|  I have been using valerian root for going on 5 or 6 years now. I started off getting it from walmart. Now I order organic ground valerian and pill it up myself. I take it for anxiety. Sometimes I take it for mild pain instead of ibuprofen or something. Do any of you take valerian? What are the symptoms you take it for? How do you take it, pill, tea, tincture? How much do you take? I want to hear all of your experiences.

| | lol it smells like dirty butt!!! my 8yr old stepdaughter was so interested in my medicine when i first met her and her dad that i had her smell the bottle of valerian root. she could care less bout my meds now hahaha thanks for your responce. have a good day | | | |

| |  I use it as one of the only natural remedies strong enough to combat my insomnia, I get in tea bags or as a liquid to put in water. I notice the tea bags seem slimey when I take them out the cup but that doesn't bother me. Apparently it's the root you use, and as soon as you know what the plant looks like you see it everywhere (you do in England anyway).

| | i've never seen it before. i need to order some more. the stuff i been taking is cheap from walmart and is whole herb instead of just the root. kinda makes me mad but to order some is a lot more money so i just deal till i can save for the really good organic root only stuff. i have never seen what it lookes like. if i saw it everywhere i think i would try to harvest some. wonder if i can grow it here?

| | thank you. its so pretty. i wish i had a place to grow it. my mom has a field behind her house that is not owned by her but they just let it grow wild in the summer. i wonder if we could plant some out there. i'll have to be giving a place to plant some a lot of thought. | | | |
