Obama's DNC Speech Was It A Slam Dunk?  

Your right on the money,sad thing his delusional followers may win him this election,at the end of his DNC tonight he said he intends to win this race.
A disable gal told me tonight she is voting for Obama because he will give her the help she needs.
I told I could see she bought in to the dreams and warned her she will be very disappointed.
This is now he is getting them the black people most will vote for him cause of race, the poor and disable cause they need something in life and they buy his B.S. and the scary part is he may just get it.
Obama speech was nothing but lies and running down John McCain he over did it on trashing Bush and McCain tonight way over the top and may bite him in the butt.
Listening to him you would believe nothing is right in this country and he and his party can fix just about everything that is wrong.
He is cutting 95% for the lower paid and rising the rich up to 49-50%,well I can just hope he don't win this election if we think we are bad off now it will be hell under Barack Obama for four years.
I have no complaints about 8 years of Bush he has keep us safe and far as Obama I don't feel I would be safe he has way to many bad guys as his pals.

I have to disagree with your statement about Bush keeping us safe. If billions of dollars worth of drugs can enter our country then anything else could too. Just consider us lucky that it hasn't happened.

By far, McCain has not been the only candidate running "attack ads". I have to agree with another poster who said that Obama is playing to those people that he thinks are not intelligent enough to research the things he says.

I haven't even been an Obama supporter, but he got my attention last night. Obama did say that McCain doesn't know what is going on here in America. He said something about McCain not knowing, rather than not caring.

I've heard McCain give his digs into Obama too.. so it is tit for tat as far as I am concerned. I would like to see how this election pans out.. and either way Rep or Dem history will be made. Either we will have the first black president or the first woman vice president... so let's just pop the popcorn and see what happens.

Newtondak, you and I feel the same way about targeting people who don't do the research, only I haven't felt that way about Obama, I felt that way about Clinton during the primaries. She was the worst when it came to "smears". At least with McCain we haven't seen any "fear the muslim" chain mails!

I can't possibly agree with you other then Obama gave a good speech and he speaks very well with a teleprompter,his speech was very well scripted and it is a shame in my opinion Obama has to paint John McCain as George W. Bush,people outside of Barack Obama supporters know that is a lie and his record shows a much different picture.
John McCain most people know fought Barack Obama and George W. Bush on the surge,Barack Obama and George W. Bush was dead wrong,John McCain was 100% right.
John McCain has fought with George Bush on illegal emigration,tax cuts,Enron fighting for grantee pensions,global warming,water boarding,campaign reform this is just the short list,this is why John McCain has been labeled in Washington D.C. as the maverick and he is very proud to be one of the very few that are maverick's and by the way John McCain is number #1 maverick in Washington D.C.according to Washington D. C, itself,so any one trying to paint John McCain as George W. Bush just don't hold water.

Kenny, please tell me what lies I have told about McCain. That old argument is getting, well..old. I am by no means saying that Obama is perfect, I never have. What I have said is that my vote is going to him. I live in Illinois, and can tell you that for being a rookie politician this man really has his head on straight when it comes to the needs of the people.
What I think is getting lost in all of this is that the president is not like a one man Army. In order for true change to take place there has to be support of the House and Senate, and we seem to be forgetting that. Sure the president can steer the ship, but there still has to be an engine behind it to keep it going on path. I just don't think McCain will chose the right paths.

I totally agree! I don't usually get too excited or involved in politics, but I find myself very interested and excited at the choice of Sarah Palin as McCain's running mate. I feel that she can and will bring a new perspective to the table that will be of benefit to the common people of our country.

Interesting...because I have the same impression of Obama supporters who don't bother to research any of the "facts" that he's spouting - many of which are inaccurate - such as his inference that McCain is a Bush clone!
