You can waste a lot of time on the internet, but you can also be productive through your internet usage as well. The internet is what you make of it. Personally, I go to college online, so that is one productive thing that I do with the internet. If I didn't have internet, it wouldn't be possible for me to earn my college degree. This is something productive that I am doing in order to better myself and earn a degree so that I can get a better job. I also like to do research online, both for personal reasons and for school. Even before I attended school online, I loved to research anything and everything I could think of to learn about. If a question pops into my head, I go on the internet and research it through multiple sources. I also pay my bills online. If I didn't have that option, I would have to pay my bills through the paper mail and on the phone, which would cost me extra money and be a hassle. I do also do fun things online, like watch movies and tv shows and I also play games online sometimes. You can say that the internet is "bad", but I think there are just some internet users that are more productive with their internet usage than others. You can't just generalize a medium based on how some people use it.
