Hmm.. I first used a computer when I was very young, around the age of 7 or 8. There was a computer literacy program and my father enrolled me and my brother. Then when I was 10 in 1990, we owned our first computer. It was still in black and white and the program used then was Wordstar (which could be compared now to Microsoft Word~ but of course a lot older in terms of capabilities and features) and Lotus 1-2-3 (the counterpart of Microsoft Excel these days.

It was fun, and our printer was still dot matrix. Diskettes where used (floppy ones) and there was no mention of gigabytes then, it was still the kilobyte stage. We upgraded those computers every year or so, until came the first internet connection in our country. I was in second year college then, around 1998. Now marks my 10th year anniversary of using the internet. It's cool, and it surely has come a long long way.

I have been using computers for many, many years. I remember playing games on our Apple II E and I remember doing reports in middle school (1990-1992) on this computer as well. When I was in the 8th grade (1992-1993), I used a Macintosh to connect on our 2400 baud modem, later a 14.4K (wooo speeeeeeedy!), to the Cleveland Freenet. It was a dial up service you could connect to and chat with people, mostly in the Cleveland, OH area. Everything was text-based. Linux...all of that. That's how the internet all started...so the internet as it is NOW is SO MUCH MORE AWESOME than it used to be. But, I knew once I opened that avenue of communication so many years ago, I could never look back.:)

Yes Hari, I first time used Internet in middle part of 2000. I remember, that day I was doing Google search with some familar terms. Now it is at my work desk in my residence! Thanks to the progress in IT and the Internet! Also I thank you for this nice topic!
