If someone has you 'down to a t' , what does that actually mean?

Basically I just read something an online friend of mine wrote and she had me, 'down to a t', which basically means she got it completely right, hit the nail on the head, that kind of thing. What I'd like to know is, what does 'down to a t' mean and where did that phrase originate? Thank you for your help.

I'll go with Crispeater on this one. I've often wondered who "Larry" was in "Happy as Larry". Got any ideas?

Well, I think it's Larry the Lamb, but that's because I don't actually know who he is. Other than that I can't think of anyone else, maybe Larry Grayson as he was always happy and gay.

Basically it means they have you figured you out. They know you as well as you know yourself...sometimes better. It's mostly a figure of speech. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~
