Do you miss your high school?

They say High School life is one of the most unforgettable years of a person. This is where self realization happens. This is when we determine what we wanted to do after finishing high school. This is where we find friends and lovers and even our partners for the rest of our lives. This is when we experience unforgettable adventures as we grow and journey through our adolescence stage.

I remember when we were having our Citizen’s Army Training (CAT), it was in my forth year in high school. There was a game called Game of the Generals, a board game where the pieces represents different ranks in the Military. Only that, we students are the pieces and we need to win over the other team. It is like a war game between two camps. I was a five star general and due to excitement I charged without really understanding the rules set by the commandant. I managed to crawl around the grounds and reach the other team’s base near their flag. Hurriedly I grabbed the flag and ran back to our camp while shouting, “We won! We won!” The excitement was cut when the commandant said that he hasn’t announced that the flags can be snatched from the other teams to win. It should be done on the third round and we were only on the second round. I was disappointed.

We resumed the game and after an hour we were declared as the loser. Lol! It was a game and it was something I’d like to play again, given the opportunity. I personally think this won’t happen again. It is only one of the things I have to keep in my heart and cherish for the rest of my life.
