| I subscribe to the TV Guide. The two issues that make it worth my while to have a subscription: The Fall Preview & Returning Favorites The Fall Preview has 102 new shows and gives a synopsis of each new show. But trust your own likes and dislikes. TV Guide predicted Heroes to be a flop, LMAO! Fall Preview is available now, for the week of Sept 8 to Sept 14. I like to go through it and decide what I'd like to see and make a decision on whether or not I think the show will make it and is it worth my time to invest in it. If TV Guide goes accoring to their usual set-up, next week will have Returning Favorites. I depend on this issue to set up my VCRs and DVR so I won't miss anything I like to watch already. Then I go back to the Fall Preview isssue and figure out what I can fit of the new shows that I want to watch. Even if you don't subscribe to the TV Guide, these are the 2 must-have issues for any avid TV watcher. Who subscribes to the TV Guide? Who buys it at the newstands and checkout lines? Are you in agreement with me that these 2 issues are the best ones to consult? What do you think of the (relatively) new Guide format as opposed to the original format? | | | | | |

| | I just use the tv guide in the newspaper to know what to watch. One of my kids is good in memorising the dates those shows we love to watch. Since I am not really into watching tv, I tend to peek when my kids and hubby are laughing so hard on what they are watching. Sometimes, I can not even relate to them! LOL! | | | | | | |

| | I never used to watch TV. I grew up and lived in the City, too much to do, never had time for TV. since moving here 7 years ago, there's nothing to do except watch TV or read. I've become quite the TV addict, TV Guide and all! | | | |

| | I much prefer the old format too. Remember the old ones, when their TV coverage was for 23 hours in a day? They had the nerve to print how happy subscribers were, so I wrote to them, daring them to print MY opinion of the new format. They didn't, LMAO All in all, though, it is a great source of info for any TV addict, such as myself. | | | |

| | The articles are great but the old TV Guide gave more coverage. Now we get the Primetime grid and that's it. The old format gave from 6am to 5am the following day. It still had good articles too. For daytime there's a generic grid for the channels and timesIt annoys me when it'll say for Sci-fi Channel: Various sci fi programs. Ya think? I didn't need the TV gudie to tell me THAT. | | | |
