Mouth Sores Help  

I have taken L-Lysine and it worked for me. You could probably try rinsing your mouth with Listerine.

Riboflavin and zinc, think that's like B-2 or something. A good B complex and a Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc type supplement WILL have you in good shape in days.

Try vitamin E oil. It works for me, clears em up real quick.
Or my husband likes to use this stuff called Kanka. It stings for a minute, but he swears by it.

Sounds like you are down in health at the moment. Mouth ulcers usually clear themselves up after about 10 days without using any medication. I used to get them a lot, but never had one for a long time now (touch wood) Anything you use, like mouthwashes or gels, are only useful for numbing if the sores are painful.

Salt water is the best mouthwash and antiseptic you can use pal . that is what I used yes ago before all the fancy mouthwashes came out , A salt water gargle is good for sore throats too , xx

Try putting baking soda on the inside of your mouth. I had some sores inside my mouth and down my throat and could not get rid of them. Someone suggested swabbing my mouth with baking soda several times a day. They were gone within two days.

rinse your mouth out w/listerine 3 or 4 times a day. if will set u on fire but it will cure them up. good luck.

Just had a quick scan through the responses to make sure that I was not putting something that someone else has put! If you have ever heard of a product called Bonjela then that is great for mouth sores or ulcers, I have just cleared one out of my sons mouth with using this.

Oh dear, anything to do with your mouth can be very painful, but the good news is that because it has a very good blood supply it usually heals quickly too! I used to be a dental nurse and i know there are pastilles etc that can be prescribed for sores in th mouth, but it depends what has caused them, if it is oral thrush, which can be brought on by a number of thing, including taking antibiotics, then you need some treatment containing nystatin, if it's mouth ulcers then it might just be that you are feeling run down and have perhaps been a bit under the weather and that's why they've popped up, again there are lozenges and creams etc but it's really a case of managing the symptoms until they go. The only other explanation i can think of, which i think is very unlikely is that the sores are caused by the cold osre virus, this sort of problem usually only occurs with children when they are first infected, they get the virus for the first time and come out in cold sores both inside and outside of the mouth, after this first viscious attack then they will only get one or two at a time periodically, but not very often, just like anyone who suffers from coldsores! Like i say this only usually occurs in children and it's unlikely but not impossible that they could be caused by this! You could also try doing some warm salt water mouth washes at home as this helps to kill any bugs in the mouth, just be sure you don't swallow it!! My advice would be to go and see a dentist and they are far better qualified than a doctor to deal with any problems related to the mouth, however much GPs may like to disagree with that it's definitely true! I do hope you are feeling better soon though, it must be very sore for you! xxx

Swishing saltwater around in your mouth will burn a bit but the salt is a great healing agent for those sores in your mouth. Listerine is a great antiseptic also so if you can stand the burn it is good for them also. Hope they get better soon. Goid bless you!
