What are your preferences in film?

I like thriller and horror movie. Currently I am studying Broadcasting at my country local university. I also planning to do short films for course work. I and my group planned to do thriller film.

I love psychological horror because it leaves a impact on the audience and make them think. Mostly the horror in this shows are not shown but are felt. I love this experiences and maybe this "impact" on the mind is what makes a psychological horror movie a good movie. Movies can just scare you with cheap make ups and suddenly increase of volume does not count as a psychological horro, its just normal horror.

Comedy is a good choice, while it may not be the main theme, even a hint of it allows the audience to keep on watching:D.

You could concentrate on a main theme, then work on side themes that would allow you to enhance your film. Ofc, it's best to do something you like, cuz you would be able to do better, and may even know more about it.

If you insist on suggestions, you could take on thrillers, supernatural, especially the types where there are twists and plots ridden heavily in it:P.

I like different sort of movies,
It could be comedy,horror,dram,love stories,thriller etc etc...
To me,what make a great movie is the fact that we don't get bored while watching so to me it shouldn't remain on the same line if you see what I mean.
I actually like a mix of many kind of movies.
I was watching this korean suppposed horror movie called "Phone" and it was actually just great because the movie turn to be a great love story and this surprised me a lot so I didn't feel bored and was really into the movie.
Yeah,what I like is being surprised but it has to be subtle and original.
What I also appreciate a lot is different cameras angles,I mean new ones,things I never saw previously stuffs like that.
To me, a good movie is an ecclectic movie.
I like to watch genre movie but when it turns to be something else I like that
