What DSLR should I buy?  | |  I am intending to join a good photography course at my local college. A few years ago my hobby was Formula 1 photography and, of late, my interest seems to be returning.
Can anyone please advise me on their opinion of a good professional DSLR Camera based on a price of around £1000 to start with.
My preference has always been Nikon but I am more than happy to consider all other recommendations.

| | | | | | | | 1.  lilaclady (19664) | 1 year ago |  I just bought a Canon Eos 1000D last week, and i bought and extra 200mm lense, I too am hoping to do a course on how to use it although the instuction booklet that came with it seems quite easy to understand plus i downloaded some ectra instructions from the Canon website and hopefully will be getting a free camera bag that I sound on their site as i bought the camera within the promotional date listed...just in by two days....so far sitting on automatic I love this camera...

However why not give a try to Pentax and Panasonic too?
Pentax K200D and Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 are in the "top camera" category.
