Is XP is better than Vista?

i think xp is better than vista coz other programs in vista didn't work well

No idiot releses a new version without new features. It's the way you use it reveals its features. Xp being used from long back cannot be left ou easily and the other reason is that vista needs high configuration, so existing average system users continue to use XP only. I even agree that there are some problems in Vista, but think for a second. Will Microsoft release a faulty product into the market when it is facing real competition from the opensource???

XP is anytime better than Vista. I have worked on both and I personally feel XP is a 1000 times better.

XP does not eat up too much of resources like vista and runs very smoothly. More over Vista is full of bugs. It crashes much faster than XP. So there are many drawback though Vista is the new operating system.

That is the reason people prefer XP over Vista and XP is much more popular.

IMO, Vista isn't stable yet. I mean, some software and applications hasn't released a compatible version for Vista. I also like Vista because of it's design and eye-catchy themes but as long as my software isn't working with this OS, I'll be stuck with using XP for the meantime.

I think xp is better because it is more comfortable and easy to use.and it does not take much space like vista.xp is also speeder.and all programes run here smoothly.but vista has some good security updates and a great visual look...but it needs at least 1 gb ram to achieve speed like xp..

well in my i cafe XP is the one i required and installed with my computer, i dont like the features of VISTA, and it uses lot of my memory!

It is not that one is better than the other

Vista has more security features built in where XP doesn't have it.

People are still using XP because Vista System requirements are so much more than XP that you need to completely have their system upgraded in order to use Vista.

Vista is better than Xp,it got lots of new security features,they have modified the whole file system,so Virus attack is minimised.

Only Problem wuth Vista is it need high end configuration,so it wont work with full performance in old systems, core 2 duo is recommended as its originally designed for it.

and i have tested windows 95 applications on vista and it works fine,even xp failed to run few of them.vista automatically configures settings when old applications(designed for win 95,nt,98) are run. and its recommended to update to service pack 1 as most of the bugs are fixed in that.

XP is definitely better than Vista. It has all familiar and easy features while the privileges offered in Vista themselves become problems.

For me, Xp is better than Vista as Xp is easy to use and can accomplish most of our tasks. Vista is too complicated for us to use. It is too strict on hardware performance and is very unstable.
