Is classical music dead?

It's not dead yet... I still listen to classic music sometimes during weekend. It's quite far away from my normal fast pace life during the week days.

you are right friend... these day people only listing Pop music, Jazz music and rap music etc.... I love classical music...

I like classical songs,I really like to hear it.My wife is a classical singer,and she sings well.Seeing her,I also try to sing a little bit of classical song.Well my wife can says that I sing well.Now a days this genre of music really forgotten by the people.But a golden era of singing has been started from there.I do admire classical songs,and singers. I listen to classical music every day.I like to hear those songs from my wife's voice.Classical songs is in my soul,and classical songs rule!!!!!!

NO.classical music is not dead nor the "oldies" are not dead... they are the reasons why modern music exists and there are young people today appreciate classical music especially peope who are musically inclined.

No and never the classical music will be dead.there are many families still humming calssical music..Many parents send their children to learn classical music.Its really good.

The fact is that It has probably always been the taste of the few anyway. Oh, sure the greats also wrote some more popular music, but the fact is that in the old days most of the people - the working class that couldn't afford the fancy dress and lacked the interest - were in the bars singing the popular songs of the day - the equivilent to having rap or rock and roll played.

I think it is still a viable music because there are still some who try to write it.

I like classical music. When I'm studying or doing something i have to concentrate on i play classical music. No one else in my family likes it much and it tends to keep them from bothering me as well as clears my head ad helps me relax while i think.

Classical music will never be dead. I love classical music, most particularly Bach and Mozart. My most memorable moments are attending the Last Night of the Proms at The Royal Albert Hall when we lived in England. There were also lunchtime concerts at the Wigmore Hall which we often used to attend. The only music likely to have a quick death, never to be heard again, is the awful banshee wailing of the modern pop performers.

I guess it is not yet dead but for sure not many people enjoy this as much as others do! I love classical music, I love to listen this with my family and loved ones! I have bunch of friends who loves it too but observing younger people, I do know if they spend time knowing much of this wonderful music!

hi everlasting for me classical music is sure alive. I am a Mozart fantatic. I love the purity the elegance the beauty of his serenades, his syphonies, his sonatas, just all of his composing. I can listen over and over and come away with something different, something new. I also love Beethoven and some Bach, and Haydn, there is no one else quite like Haydn, I love his surprise symphony. I liKe Chopin too, but Mozart is my favorite for calming me, relaxing me, pepping me up. listen to his violin sonatas, they are unlike anyone elses sonatas trust me.so somebody else out there must like Mozart surelY?
