Announcements Masquerading as Discussions  

Did you notice the changes in the TermsOfUse?
No more 'milestone' discussions and maybe next the 'I'm leaving' will become a violation too

I notice them and don't comment. I enjoy the fun things on here and the money interest and give them a miss.
If someone wants to go and they tell us about it I feel like saying 'send us a postcard!' but I don't because not all on here know me well enough

Too much fun to be had elsewhere that I skip them and IF any of my friends leave I now about it before hand because we ARE really friends and in contact elsewhere so I am already aware of their reasons.

Worse than the soaps on here sometimes - and I have NEVER followed them!

That is also at the top of my peeve list. I have not made myself very popular by calling the departed out when a day or hours later they are back making new posts. IMO is is a just ploy get some pity responses or to be begged not to leave, that they are loved!!! These folks must have no self esteem. I have given a couple of them the benefit of the doubt but until just lately all but one have reappeared.
If and when I leave I will perhaps PM a couple of my friends to let them know. I would be ashamed to show my face if I posted such a spectacular farewell and then start posting as if nothing had ever been said.

last time i looked no one was holding a gun to anyone's head making them come here!I myself come on cause i love it and the payoff is just icing on the cake if you don't like it then why come and no one cares anyhow so dont post that your going to go why not just go?????

Almost every time I sign into myLot I see someone announcing that they're leaving because they're being "stalked" or something. These discussions can get up to 100 responses from people begging them not to leave. Then they end up not leaving. Then maybe two weeks later they do it again and this time they really mean it. Except they don't mean it and they stay on myLot. Then the whole thing starts again a week or two later.

I don't really care what anyone wants to start a discussion about but it can get boring having to trawl through endless discussions about people leaving. I've gotten a few rude comments in my time but I sorted it out in my own way rather than announce that I'm leaving just to see would people beg me to stay.

Fine. If you don't like my discussions then I'm leaving myLot. Forever. And this time I mean it. Really. I'm leaving. Don't try to stop me 'cause you can't. It's useless to beg me to stay. 'Cause I won't. Stay. This time. I mean it...

Okay, I was guilty of this once, and had every intention of leaving, because I was really fed up with a lot of the crap. But after a day or two, and several PM's to me from people, I settled down and just decided to ignore the people that I had been letting get under my skin. And the discussion was deleted, so it's actually a moot point now...


But I'm serious. Just one more time and I'm leaving...for good. Really.

I think its people seeking attention so others ,their friends post about it.
Saying how great & cool said persons are,how sad everyone is about it.Its a whole lot of scamming piffle..If said persons want to leave then let em.Like you say there are 1000s of members in here,one down will make no difference.Oh & its always the same ones doing it over & over again..boo hoo ..but its up to them i guess,i dont agree with it,but i cant do anything about it,other than say what i think before they leave..Here we go again..
So its simple really..if yer going GO..if not STAY...we will see you in 2-3 day LOL

This is also one of my biggest pet peeves. It's actually a very childish thing to do I think. Like stomping your feet when you can't get your way. "I'm running away cause everybody is being mean to me waaaaaaaaa" LOL.

This actually sounds like someone I worked with who EVERY day said "I should just leave this place!" Last I knew, (and I worked there 10 years ago) she's still there! I also agree that it's an attention thing. Like someone saying "Oh, my hair looks just awful today!" when they really want you to tell them how great they look. Grow up.

I think I have seen it but I don't really pay attention. I don't care how others make money here and I don't care if others do cheat.

But I would care if a member would tell me how to earn more money in a way which I can do it.

If I don't like a discussion, I just don't respond to it and never bother responding to it just to say I don't like the discussion.

I have responded to these a few times. When I do, it is because I'd rather the person stay, but really, if someone really intends to go, they just do.
