Hacking is cool? |
|
I have seen movies of hackers, sneaking into a top secret facility and inserting the wire to hack into the system, the screen shows moving codes and viola! However, when i tried programming in real life, it was actually lifeless and dead! What can i say? Is hacking for professionals or is it not as cool as it seems?

But there are also what we call scriptkiddies they use the tools, exploits made by the hackers to hack/crack their target box and scriptkiddies doesnt even know what is really happening into the system.

4. deathvans (235) | 1 year ago | yes, it is cool, I wish could do that, but I don't have much more time to studies such a lot of codes, like java, C++, visual basic, turbo C, and so forth.. Whew.. It gives a headache,, Hehe.. I know some of the hacker are really trying to hack the bank, but they can't just pass on to that security, cause you know why? I better hacker than them is been deployed to watch those cracker outside, trying to hack a bank.. whew.. Hacking and Cracking is cool, but not that easy..^_^

6. fourthdimension (108) | 1 year ago | Hollywood glorifies hacking just like everything else. What it doesn't capture is the reality - that the final hack shown on screen is the condemnation of lots of time and effort (from days to months) of careful thought, examination, manipulation, experimentation, and other analysis. Hacking is all in the mind. It's a puzzle that needs to be solved. The movies capture the end result, but miss the strategy that yields it, which for me, is the best part of the overall hack. Tons of strategy goes into the final hack that gives you that adrenalin rush that the movies like to show.
Programming is only lifeless if you don't have a focus for it. For instance, why learn Japanese if you have no chance in the foreseeable future of you using it in any meaningful way? It's the same with code. You learn it so that you can talk to the computer for yourself so that once you find a way to hack the system, you know how to tell your computer to do it. You also learn programming so that you can see how to exploit the system in the first place. Hacking someone's system is analogous to critiquing someone's essay. You can't expect to find holes in it if you aren't fluent in the language.
