When my daughter was married, she kind of made friends with one of the other Air Force wives. One day she and her husband were at this couple's house. The guys, for whatever reason, were lighting individual leaves and letting them burn on the drive way. The girl ran out of the house and yelled at them to stop, they were going to start a forest fire. The leaves weren't blowing around, just burning there on the drive way, and there were no trees in their front yard. The leaves had blown in from around the neighborhood. Anyway, my daughter explained to her that you had to have trees to even have a forest, so, they weren't going to start a forest fire. The girl insisted that she had seen a forest fire in the ocean when a tanker had spilled oil, and that if the guys caught the house on fire, yes, there would be a forest fire. My daughter decided at that point there was no point in trying to argue with her.

Unfortunately most people doesn't have to buy it, they get it free and clear! I have a niece that after getting pregnant refused to have se-x with her husband because as she explained to her mother she didn't want to get pregnant again, yes she is a natural blond! Every time i think about it i crack up.

This discussion makes me think of the song here's your sign. I would buy some of it. I have always been told that you have to just laugh at the stupid and lately there is just a level of stupid that is not funny but just pathetic but those examples are funny.

Sad but I can relate to your DIL logic because of one of my brothers. He hated that after he got a new carpet and was warned he was careless enough to stain it when he knocked over a soda. For years he had the reminder.

some one stupid would buy it.. look at the crap they sell on ebay!! i love it when people either refinance their house every year to where they keep adding years onto their payment OR they keep trading in their 1 year old cars for a new one to where they end up paying for like 2 plus cars while driving one.. people putting their down payment of their house on a credit card.. i knew some one that would blow their paycheck the same day they got it and buy electronics and not realize till their baby was crying that they needed to buy baby food for the next two weeks (including that day) ah hell i could go on.. forever..
