 Im watching fox news and they are talking about that horrible hurricane in Texas. Now some people are reporting that gas stations even in other states are hiking their gas prices like crazy a buck or two a gallon now this senator said if we see that we should report it, but to who??? does anyone know? Im sure we are all going to see it but a buck in 24 hours and two bucks in 24 hours I think NOT.

Unfortunately everytime they raise prices they seem to have some sort of excuse as to why they do it and the government just sits there confirming it. I had a class of legal environment of business and from what I got out of it that it's always monitored.

 dianel (4592) | 1 year ago | No andalond thats not true. they cannot possible monitor every gas station. Some are gas gouging and that is illegal. It said to report it to the proper authorites but who are the proper authorities?????

| andalond (3388) | 1 year ago | Gas dealers can price their gas prices to what they want as long as they don't group together to make an agreement on a corner to up the price because that would be conspiracy of some sort. Usually the government knows what is going on, trust me. The defenses can be that they need to economize, a crisis occurs, etc. Price fixing is illegal but I read in Wiki that it can be sanctioned in certain times. I'm sure they waited for a tragedy to occur so they could do what they are doing and have a reason to do it if asked. | |

From $1.23 per liter to $1.36
It is absolutely ridiculous!!
All because of an impending storm and they think they can gouge the people with a gas hike!!!

Thankfully my husband filled up when he went to work at 2:30 AM before it went up and got the tank filled at the old price!
