do you still use snail mail? | | honestly, i don't like snail mail..from the word itself, it will take you ages before you receive a letter..not unless it's an express mail..but still nothing is faster than email as far as i know..but there are still transactions until now, that would really require you to use the snail mail..just like when you are applying for a professional license and the board of that certain profession requires you to mail the documents through snail mail instead of scanning the documents..on the other side, it's their way of knowing if the documents are really authentic...as they old saying goes, it better to be safe than sorry..;-)

| | | | | | | | 1. babykeka80 (1169) | 1 year ago | I very rarely if ever use "snail mail" and right now I have a great reason why. I ordered a textbook offline on August 26th. As of today, September 14th I have yet to receive it. Mind you my class started on September 1st. I have classes that are 1month long. So now, I have gone a little over two weeks of class without a textbook and the postoffice cannot even guarantee where it is or when exactly it will get here. My classes cost me $1500 each and I am going to be really ticked if I have to drop one because someone can't do their job correctly.

| | 3. sabbatha (237) | 1 year ago | I still do. I pay all my bills online, but sometimes I still write letters to friends and family. No email can ever compare to the feeling of getting a letter in the mail from someone. Letters just seem more thoughtful than an email. People also seem to say more in a letter than they ever do in an email. People usually just write a paragraph or so in an email, while letters tend to go for at least a page, sometimes more. And it actually only takes a few days to get mail. It's just not as instant as an email. But it's not like it takes weeks or something.
Plus if my hubby goes into the navy, I will definately be writing him in boot camp and when he's out to sea. The email on a ship isn't always reliable, and it's non exsistant in boot camp.
Then there the military over in Iraq. I guarentee their day is 100 times better after they get a letter from family, friends or even strangers(there are websites and such that let people write to a milatary member overseas even if you don't know any over there personally). It's a huge moral booster, an effect that email will never be able to reproduce.
