My silly FULL GROWN male cat is drinking out of a baby bottle....  

That is great, whatever it takes Your cat is beautiful, or should I say handsome. He looks so much like my Jake. I had to take a double look, when I saw his picture. Jake has the same blackness around his eyes. When he was a kitten, it looked like he had one big eye and one small eye. It actually is the black fur around his eye, something like when us girls wear eyeliner

I have thought about getting one of those water fountains for my cat too as she loves to drink from the tap when the water is running. That is so funny and so cute about your cat and the bottle. Would love to see a picture of that. I do agree, he is a very handsome looking cat.

You've gotta post a picture of him nursing the bottle!I have had a couple of bottle babies and the one that I still have doesn't try to nurse anymore, but here he is as a baby.

I have to check to make sure it's ME who's logged on when I click to respond. Good grief, this has been a wild ride!!

Anyway, pleeeeeeeez take a picture of GIRRR with his bokkie (what my son called it when he first began to talk). I really want to see that. My daughter's kitten was taken from her mama too soon, we think, and she bonded with Deb like a kitten does with its mama. She has to suck on something to go to sleep - it's usually an earlobe. But, an adult cat starting it is interesting. It sure won't hurt him as long as he's getting the water he needs. Poor baby. Do you hold him when he's drinking or does he lie next to it to drink from it?

We actually had fountains in the house to improve the feng shui and basically cause I love the little water features. My cats love them. I have to really take them apart and clean them cause the pump gets clogged with cat hair now and again. We bought one for pets and they do drink out of it quite a bit but they still go to the fountain too. They seldom drink from their water bowl but I keep one down just to ensure they have plenty. They like to drink from the water faucet too.
That really is just too cute.

That does sound funny. My cats seem to like drinking from a glass or cup. They will drink from a bowel but for some reason think the water in a cup is better. Our youngest cat, Patch, looks a bit like your's. He is a black and white cat but has a black patch covering just one eye, therefor the name Patch. He has a few quirks too. He was one of seven ferrel kittens rescued from three different litters in the back yard of a friend's house. They were all raised together till they were weened and got their first shots before finding them homes. I decided to take the smallest kitten who was found running blindly into a trash can. He was almost blind in one eye due to a bad corneal abrasion and conjunctivitis. He had to have eye drops for a long time so he doesn't like his face messed with. He was so used to eating with so many other cats that we had to place a mirror in front of his food so he could see anther cat, otherwise he wouldn't eat. He is about three years old now and unless he is really hungry still has to have someone nearby when he eats. He will bug the other cats or try to get someone to come watch him eat or even will coax one of the dogs to following him out to his eating area. One of his other quirks is that if he is not really hungry he will push the dry food around with his nose sorting the different shapes or colors into little piles or pick out his favorite flavor first then eat the rest. lol

cute. all pets are babies because we spoil them and treat them like babies. i dont care.
