Just wondering about my cat and Lavender...............

Yep, she's probably being affected by the lavender. It affects animals just as it affects humans. I bought some lavender scented shampoo for my dogs to help calm them down since they hate baths and get so upset.

As for the cat sleeping today, I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but here it's been cooler than usual. It was so hot for so long, with only an exception here and there, then it just got cooler... like almost 20 degrees cooler. It's 'lazy' weather, at least that's what I call it.

I wouldn't worry about your cat, though. If she is being affected by the lavender, it's only a little. She probably just decided to stay in and sleep today instead of going outside and sleeping. They sleep most of the day normally, we just don't notice it when they're outside most of the time.

Wellllll, lavender it seems is a member of the mint family and so is catnip. Now, since some cats are not affected by catnip and some overly affected by mints. Your cat may be one of those.

I don't know how lavender and a cat would interac. But I do know that if you spray your pillow at night with lavender it helps to create a soothing atmosphere and helps you sleep.

There is something in lavender that acts as a natural relaxant to help you sleep.
