Would you be more inclined to buy a card with a poem on it?

Ok here is the question. Would you be more inclined to buy a photographic greeting card if there was a poem or Bible scripture on the photo? I recently added two of these to my redbubble page. One has a poem I wrote and it has a butterfly photo the other one has a Bible scripture and photo of Gladiolas. I started playing around with a different photo program.

Some people like that kind of thing, others don't go for it. I personally don't go for that unless I am buying it for a VERY SPECIFIC person, someone who would appreciate the bible verse or porm. It's a good idea though, because there is a market for everything.

Really? Even if it was an original art piece from someone you knew?

It is a good idea to offer the same card both with a poem and without as some people prefer a blank card. Personally, I like to write my own greetings, but then I also like to send cards with my own designs.
On of the nice things about RedBubble, to which I thank you for introducing me, by the way, is you can have it both ways, right? Have you put any of your cards up on CafePress yet?

I haven't been to cafepress yet I need to check it out. I am using a photo program to put the poem or scripture right on the photo. I offer them both ways. I am just trying to figure out how to get that elusive first sell and thought the combination of my writing or scriptures with the photo might work.
You are welcome for the introduction.

Not necessarily, but I believe you are on the right track, offering them both with and without poems and scriptures. It would be neat if you had a way people could custom design--"I like this picture, and I want this Scripture. Please use this font." That would probably be too much to keep track of though.

Yeah that would be cool but I don't think redbubble would go for it. But if someone were to email me (or bubblemail me)I would certainly customize it for them then put it on redbubble so they could purchase it. If you want to go look at the two I am referring to go to http://redbubble.com/people/sweetdesign

If I was to buy a card, it would definately have to have a nice poem in it for I suck at writing.
