Is Walking down the aisle still a woman's dream?

i never had a dream of getting married and didnt want to but got forced into it by my partner and my dad, my partner wanted to get married and i didnt then when we had our first child my father refused to accept that she was his grandaughter or have anything to do with her untill i married her father, is it any wander that 5 years on my marriage is in tatters and i am about to leave my hubsband

I do still dreaming it, walking down the aisle with with gown and my groom waiting on my at the altar.lolz, eventhough that im already married and already went through with wedding. But i still dreaming to have our second wedding and this time im going to make sure that everything is perfect and not a disaster lolz.
well maybe men is dreaming it too they just not too showy.

Well, I dreamt of walking down the aisle with a white wedding gown and I had one, but I didn't have a big wedding. I never wanted a big wedding. I'm not the type of person who likes big parties whereas I become the spotlight. So I only invited my very closest friends and family members.

I don't know if men dream of traditional weddings or not, but in my country (Indonesia), these days people need to do a church wedding first (or at the Mosque if they're Muslims) before they can sign up their wedding papers and get their marriage certificate. That's why many people in Indo still do this type of wedding parties.

well I'm getting married next year, and it won't be like that at all.

we're having our handfasting on the moors in a stone circle, doing the legal bit beside a subterranean lake, and back home for a big outdoor party.

Well I just completely planned my wedding this year I don't think it takes allot of extravagance to put on a wedding you just have to know what is important to you for the day and go from there. I cut out allot of things that is just there because it's a wedding, I did my entire wedding for a decent price. The guests were happy they all had fun and that's what is important. it isn't the extravagance it's the memories it holds in the minds of the bride and the groom and the guests who attended. I know that the memories are there for everyone involved....

I think so. Every women on her right senses are still dreaming of walking down the aisle with the man of their dreams. It is the best thing to do to make the relationship stronger.

I've told Boyfriend that I will be okay if we eloped but he disagrees because he said he knows me better and that I would like to share the event with our families and closest friends. If I had a lot of money, then I would admit that I want to definitely have a very lavish wedding but it still would have to be very intimate. But I think it would be wiser to just save all that money for the future with one's spouse.

I do not know if men also dream of traditional weddings but it has been instilled in women since they were little girls that their wedding should be the happiest day of their lives which to me is ridiculous. I guess landing a man is what makes a woman complete in most societies.

I have NEVER wanted a full-blown wedding. I have never liked being the center of attention and the thought of having to walk down the aisle while a room full of people watched me made (and still makes) me uncomfortable. The fact that many weddings cost $20,000 or more is absolutely insane! And, that a woman would willingly expect her parents to put up that kind of money just as their lives are slowing down is selfish and irresponsible! If she's paying herself, she and her new husband could put that money into their home instead of lavish indulgences.

My marriage was horrible, but my wedding was actually nice. We were married at home, festive decorations throughout, and our reception was "pot luck". Everyone brought something or made something for the gathering of people. It was very nice, very intimate, and VERY affordable!

Walking down the aisle was never one of my dreams, I never wanted to get married in a church with all that fuss and performance. I never did either, I was married in a registry office, had the dress but only a little family meal and bigger reception and it was enough. If I had the money to do whatever I wanted, I would still not have the whole thing, I would probably go and do it abroad in the sunshine!
