The proof the God of Judaism, Islam and Christianity does not exist. |
|
Proving that a God does not exist is not the same as proving that there are no God(s). Proving that there is no God would be like proving that there is not a donkey in orbit around the earth waiting to carry the next prophet away.
The God of Abraham was supposedly YHWH, represented by the Tetragammaton. About 1400 BCE the tribe known as the Shasu worshipped this same deity among others. Abraham supposedly lived about 2000 BCE; He had Camels (domesticated about 1000 BCE). He visited Gerar, (Founded about 1050 BCE) and it's King Abimelech (Ruled about 850 BCE). Abraham is called Ibrahim in the Quran but the Muslims accepting the Judaic beliefs are as wrong about Abraham as the others.
There is no evidence anywhere that a historical Abraham ever existed, there is evidence that the tale is based on several ancient tales so the logical conclusion is no Abraham and since there was no Abraham all three religions are a fraud.
All these three religions further go on to praise Moses. There was never a Moses and historians such as D. B. Redford among a great many other believe the foundation of the story was the expulsion of the Hyksos from Egypt by a Pharaoh named (A) Moses. When this Pharaoh was found the A and often an Ah was added to the name to remove the obvious connection. The tale of the baby in the crib which floated down the river to become a famous king was Sargon the Great. Other tales are also mixed in the story but we need not concern ourselves with them here.
There was no Moses who delivered the Israelites from bondage; there is no record of the tale from before the Babylonian captivity. No Moses means that all three religions are fraud and there is no reason to go any further.
The wise king Solomon is also in all three religions and Solomon is a composite person who got his name and wisdom from the great Greek lawgiver Solon; his many wives was modeled from an Egyptian King so this tale is also a composition indicating all three religions are fraud and we need go no further.
The fact is there is nothing which can be tested about the three religions which can’t be shown to be fraud. There is a whole book of example’s waiting but for brevity’s sake this should do. These examples indicate that no God as envisioned by these three religious denominations existed.
The people who worshipped the God of the Israelites were not monotheistic; they were called Shasu. They most assuredly adopted monotheism during the Seleucid Empire (312-60 BCE)
Christians falsified material such as Josephus and “Histories” in order to give them credibility proving that besides having a faulty foundation they are dishonest. Christianity was adopted by Emperor Constantine as soldiers living in a fantasy world after this life are over made better soldiers due to not fearing death.
Mohammad proved himself a con-man with the three portents and he founded a religion conning young men to fight for him with a promise of innumerable obedient females in an afterlife.
These three religions is an epidemic preventing civilization from coming about. They thwart scientific advancement and stifle spiritual growth.
Don’t you think it is about time we employed a sound foundation to base our lives on?
Shouldn't we safeguard our children from the terrorism of these three religions?

11. NrgDfenZ (1679) | 1 year ago | Well to be honest I don't think you can disprove that God exists.. Neither can you prove that God exists.. It is all a matter of faith.. I am an atheist, but I respect other peoples choices:)
Have a nice day..

Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | I also respect other people's choices provided they are given some facts regarding booth sides and have come to their belief on their own.
If you read what I stated at the beginning you would have seen that I have no intention of proving there is no God just like I have no intention of proving there is not a donkey in orbit around the earth waiting for the next prophet.

12. twoey68 (9610) | 1 year ago | I think it's a personal choice as to what parents teach their children. Teaching your child to believe in God isn't anything like teaching them that suicide is the only way to Heaven. Teaching them of God doesn't harm them or lead them into certain death. Saying religion is like terriorism is like saying that sneaking a taste of food cooking is like grand theft. The two are nothing alike. Tasting food when your cooking isn't going to hurt anyone or anything whereas grand theft is going to hurt not only who your stealing from but yourself when your caught. Teaching your kid to commit sacrifice in order to hurt others is in no way any kind of religion, it's just a fancy way of covering up killing others.
That being said, whether you believe in God, Allah, Buddah or you pray to a cornflake in the shape of a four leaf clover...as long as your not hurting yourself or your children it shouldn't be anyone's business. Personally, I'm Christian, I encourage my Niece and Nephew to believe that way and here's why...
There has been debates for as far back as you can count as to whether there really is a God or not. Some say yes, some say no. Some believe that when you die you go to Heaven and your reunited with those you love, others believe that you go in the ground and become worm food. Some believe that the whole idea of religion was started in order to keep ppl from committing serious crimes (or sins)...others believe that the Ten Commandments are direct words from God to be followed. In truth none of us know for sure what lies in store for us after death...so you either go on a little faith or you don't. Teaching my Niece and Nephew about God doesn't harm them in any way and encourages them to make good choices...I can't see anything bad about that.

Makena1968 (633) | 1 year ago | I really like your post. I just watched a DVD called "The Bible Tells Me So", and it was very thought provoking. I have all respect for the Bible. However, like you wrote, that some religions may have been started to help people behave themselves, I think the Bible is for that. It teaches high moral standards. But it has been interpreted in so many different ways, by so many different minds, and in so many different times and circumstances, for so many different reasons. I guess what one person thinks the Bible is telling them, another reads it totally different, and think it's telling them in another way. I am a strong God believer. I think our very existence proves that there is a God. But, as humans, we love the complexities of philosophical speculations, and we indulge our egos, thinking that we somehow know everything, reaching profound conclusions through what we see or hear with our physical (and very limited) senses. However, I do believe that if one desires the truth about God, ourselves, death, life...that that truth is within us, and all we have to do is want to find it. It takes much courage and humility to be able to do this. I feel that there have been individuals who do know the truth, and have tried to impart these truths upon us. Being able to recognize these individuals, and the truths they are trying to give us purely and directly, is a challenge, however, as long as we keep our minds closed, and as long as we are too busy with our physical desires and goals, to see clearly. Once we embark on our journeys to discover these truths within us, we automatically return to our pure and original nature of goodness. We all naturally possess the qualities of compassion, humility, tolerance, beauty, strength, knowledge, unconditional love, detachment, within us. We just need to find the key to unlock these qualities. That's the human journey.

Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | Certainly it is a personal choice what parents decide to teach their children; but within reason! For example; I have heard a parent tell his child that the child is stupid for not understanding how Pontius Pilates was an evil person. The child stated that if it was predestined that he was to betray Jesus then God was to blame and not Pontius Pilates. The one who was stupid here was the parent for intimidating his child. The question is perfectly legitimate and the answer meant the child was supposed to dumb down to the parents level which is not OK.
This form of teaching is terrorism; punishing a child for employing his mind is inexcusable.
Since all indications are that the Bible/Koran is in error it all children should be made aware of these errors. It is quite possible higher states of existence are available to us but authoritarian forms of presenting these prevent children from growing up normally. Authorative teaching allowing no questioning prevent people from discovering deeper truths and force them in many instances to dumb down to whatever social "norms" are in vogue.
Such things as "life proves there is a God"! Is only one way of dumbing down society to its norms and socially we should be striving to exceed the standards of living suffered by our ancestors and exceed those morally ethically and spiritually!

|
twoey68 (9610) | 1 year ago | Telling a child their stupid...regardless of reason...is bad parenting, not terrorism. Terrorism is defined as:
ter·ror·ism/'t?r??r?z?m/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[ter-uh-riz-uhm] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes. 2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization. 3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.
I still don't associate religion and terrorism as the same thing...perhaps it's simply a personal way of looking at it. In extreme cases where parents are teaching their children to commit suicide in the name of religion, then it would actually be a form of abuse more than terrorism...
Now if a child were being beaten into learning a religion or tortured for not learning a religion than I guess that would fall under the heading of terrorism but I haven't heard of that...at least here in the US.

13. danielle101282 (157) | 1 year ago | First of all it is called faith for a reason. I am Jewish and I don't believe I preach terrorism to my kids. I read your comment to someone else and I don't tell my kids will go to hell because I don't believe in any such place. As for your historic proof it's not for certain it's a theory... Look up theory you will not find the word fact. What religion do you prefer? And how can you tell everyone else what to believe? I would never imagine telling other people to believe my way. They believe in what makes them happy, that is a personal choice.
Do know for a fact these things didn't happen? Were you there? I wasn't. Like all the history books in school, i wasn't there but these things are said to be fact. Well it comes down to you believe or you don't, your personal decision.

danielle101282 (157) | 1 year ago | I forgot to mention I thought this is a good discussion though, regardless weather I agree with you or not
| |
|
|
Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | Oh I know what theory is; it is what people teach their children regarding God/Allah.
While all the material against the possibility renders the possibility of the Judaic legends virtually impossible I'll grant you it could be taken as a theory.
The only objection I have is the teaching of these religious doctrines as fact since it is not fact. Teach children what you may believe but leave them the option of learning their own truth. This is not done in a vast majority of "Christian families" here in the US. While the Christians no longer murder apostates Muslims still do, and that is terrorism against their own children.
There is not a person alive who has the right to tell another what he or she should believe; yet we all have the right to present evidence and express our opinions.
| |
|
|
danielle101282 (157) | 1 year ago | Well put. I believe in giving my children a start in religion. This is what my mother did. I teach them about the bible, without passing judgment on others, because this is not my place, and I don't just say that like most people, all my friends believe in different things, half of them are atheists, and I could care less, I believe my way and they believe theirs. But in the end my children need to make the decision on their own, the way I did. I researched other religions I was interested in and came to a conclusion on my own. What other people do with their kids I don't know, that's on them.

15. tulipstrader (891) | 1 year ago | A great discussion to be in. something of my kind. I agree with many of the facts you have pointed out here. people of book will never believe you, but that does not mean you are wrong. i read through the entire discussion and your answers to many. i know from your answers that you are a person with some kind of firt hand knowledge on what you are talking about. many become hysterical when you say God cannot exist. I have a post - God cannot Exist. if someone ask me this question i will say god cannot exist and that is the truth. 'all that exist will cease to exist'. religions say god exists. its a couple of thousands years now, no trace of him since those days. so it can be concluded that he ceased to exist now. none of the semetic religions accept god as an impersonal being. there in lies the difficulty for them, as they see him as a person, just like us. such an impersonal being will never ask for prayes, sacrifices, offer rewards, or threatens etc. that shows he is a charlatan. i come from the east, so let me say a bit about it. vedic religion or sanatan dharma was said to be the oldest surviving. sanatan dharma means eternal way of living. dharma does not mean religion. dharma is more of duty with regards to life and associated activities. in vedas (veda mean knowledge) god did not have any name. he was addressed as "THAT". the rishis who searched god or ultimate reality or whatever one may call it said, they don't know what is that. they said that it is there, but they don't know it. they feel it, yet they can't know it. they were more honest in their ways. they did not fleeced people with it. then as time passed, the age for Puranas came. Puranas like bible/koran is sheer nonsense with a few acceptable truths here and there. Puranas were said to be very old and bible/koran has more or less the same kind of themes. so i feel many of these stories, myths were floating around and everyone freely borrowed from the previous ones. rather than guiding, it has been a handy too in the hands of vested interests to enslave the masses. as 'tarachand' in his reply said, many of these books, especially the puranas whose authorship was wrongly attributed to the sage Veda Vyas. Veda Vyas did not write any puranas. if he wrote better literature early when will he stoop write sheer nonsense. some even say puranas are simple way to explain complicated vedas. that is another nonsense i would like to explode. infact many of these books were written by priests with the name of veda vyas for acceptance by public as it was an accepted fact the he was a great sage who taught the right way. even works from as late as 15-16th century CE whose authorship was thrust up on the poor veda vyas. hinduism, jainism and budhism share a common heritage. so some myths are common to all, like the semetic cousins. religion has been used as a tool to enslave humanity. religions together have killed more people than hitler, mussolini or stalin killed. and the killing still goes on non-stop. i have also noticed many are arguing here based on his belief and also the opinion the other is wrong. nobody seems to have read their scriptures from beginning to end. selective quoting has been very common while praising about one's faith. nobody wants to accept that most of these religious books are sheer nonsense. for them - there is either you have to a believer or non-believer. but they forget that there are people who care a damn about either of these and want to be left alone to live their life peacefully. with interference of religion, partisan laws came into being. anyway it has been a nice disussion and i am happy i could contribute what i am aware of. happy mylotting.

Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | I thank you for your contribution as the beliefs of India are far more humane and realistic. Between the Indian beliefs which are similar to the ancient Egyptian beliefs and the Gnostics there is enough material to satisfy the inquiring mind.
People who have to try and think through preconceived truths they received from early childhood are severely handicapped and seeing those that are freed from this encumbrance is indeed a pleasure.
| |
|
|
tulipstrader (891) | 1 year ago | i agree indian beliefs are mild. but there are some grey areas which in the last 100 years have changed a lot. caste wars, untouchability were thing of past, or may be about 60yrs. eventhough it is not fully gone, there are stray incidents here and there which has led to social tensions. what i liked in you is when you said "knowledge" has to be given prime importance over belief system. sadly for religious leaders and politicians 'knowledge' is someting to be kept away from common people.

16. duranv (410) | 1 year ago | Gnosisquest, even though I do agree with a lot of what you say, I think you can't PROVE that God exists or not, at the most you can try to prove that the historical basis that these religions rely on for their beliefs are flawed or false or whatever.
| |
| |
|
|
Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | The historical basis for the three Abrahamic religions is false hence the concept which Judaism, Islam and Christianity instill in the mind of their followers is false.
You are right in that it is impossible to prove that no God(s) exist.

17. NewbieHelper (220) | 1 year ago | How can a religion, such as Christianity, be a 'fraud,' Gnosisquest?
Isn't there ANYTHING beyond scriptures that Christianity has done that is good?
How can Scriptures, largely oral tales later put to print, be so constantly used as the basis for calling a religion which has consumed the entire Wester World for centuries - fraudulent?
| |
| |
|
|
Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | The fraud is not from the ancient tales that have been distorted; the people who concocted the tales could well have believed that what they wrote based on their superstitions and dreams were facts. Those others then reworded things to make it appear as if there was a guaranteed "heaven" if they offered their lives for a God that was fraud in order to create better fighters.
Today after all the archeology, research and translation of different ancient documents we know the source of the material in the Bible/Koran. We know what was added to ancient documents such as Josephus and the fraud today is passing off the Biblical material as being an authentic representation of what came from people inspired by a God.

| 18. philip23 (46) | 1 year ago | just because there are no evidence yet about the existence of something does not entail to it not existing at all... there are a lot of things on earth that were believed to not have existed until they were discovered, proving that making an argument that something does NOT exist based on the fact that it hasn't been discovered yet is nothing more than a shallow argument...
| |
| |
|
|
Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | Not so my friend; there is no evidence something exists yet lots of evidence that everything it is a fabrication: This indicates that with virtual certainty the chances of it existing is practically nil.
| |
|
|
| philip23 (46) | 1 year ago | you have a point there if in case the evidences have been indeed fabricated...
then again, there is no certainty that the evidences you said that were fabricated did originate from actual practitioners and/or believers of the said religion... it could just have been a propaganda by other people during their time, with the hopes of destroying the credibility of the religion in future generations... the way i see it, we have to look from different views on matters pertaining to the authenticity of something... which then leads us to having FAITH in something we believe in... i am not implying though that just because we have faith in something, we should be close-minded in the opinions of other people... which is why i kind of enjoy arguments such as this one.. it helps me clarify some things i have in my mind...:)

19. xtedaxcvg (1594) | 1 year ago | Religion is like a courtroom. You can present evidences and state them as facts but they can always be manipulated, bent, and corrupted. Even the most obvious may prove to be false and it depends on the lawyers to hide or expose them. In the end it is always the goal or the objective that is pursued.
If what you believe is right then I suggest you stick to it. Your faith will always be your salvation. Anyone can take anything and everything from you except your faith. In my case, this is the only one thing I can hold onto when I meet my creator.
| |

|

Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | Like a courtroom? Have you seen someone in a courtroom come with an explanation which needs supernatural intervention in order to be considered? Since there is no credible evidence for the supernatural evidence produced by JIC no court would even consider it possible that it was correct.

I won't answer you any further seeing as how "simple" your mind is.. like a train on a one-way track (get it?).

Gnosisquest (779) | 1 year ago | There is no reason to believe the Koran is accurate in anything other than relating what the warrior Muhammad desired. There are no revelations and no miracles only a recipe for death and destruction; oh and a recipe for repression and intimidating otherwise sane people.
Wishful thinking is what brings people to Las Vegas for example; the effect of wishful thinking is seen in casinos which grow larger all the time. Your dream of Allah' paradise is no more sound than the dream of a person in a casino who believes the next roll of the dice will make him/her independently wealthy!
