Happily EverAfter is a Fairy Tale, agreed?

hi ocean tiara some people are like that and no matter what you do or say, they will never change so all you can do is leave.
my parents were not at all suited for eachother yet my mom refused to leave, and lived a sad life all her life. I wished that I could have persuaded her to leave him but she would not, yet he kept up his verbal abuse until the day he died. she blossomed after his death and I neve saw such a change in anyone. I could wish she had had the courage that you did to get out before he had worn her down so. I am only glad that my husband was not like that. My dad would flaunt his so called superiority at her, he was thirty years older than her, and dare her to leave him. she was scared to make the move.well they are both gone now but she did have some happy years after his death thank goodness for that.

Thank goodness then that your poor Mother had some peace and happiness in her life after the death of your Father rip.
Oh yes, cruelty can haunt a person and make them so very weakened to any kind of hope of ever getting better.
You know too Hatley, I bet in some ways, you were blaming yourself for not being able to get her out..I know how that is...Bless you Hatley and I hope peace for you today and all the days to come..and thanks btw for saying I was courageous. Hugs xooxox

hi ocean tiara where are you one yr later no fairytale endings but I loved my husband and we had a lot of misfortunes but his wild sense of'
humor kept us going and I never really regretted mArrying him as we seemed to know each other from the day we met as if we had always known each other. we were bestfriends and lovers too

fwidman one yr later happily ever after is only in books in real life we dont go Around s aying smile be happy all day long as thats just too bizarre for words.we did have a great marriage but my husband had colon cancer, had a colostomy, we lost our little girl at age 8, those were not happy happy times at all.but there wereother really happy times and thats what counts.

marriage and you two learn to love and like and to cope.
You have to work at a good marriage and y ou need to be'friends
wioth eachother for friendship and love go together wonderfully.

we hAd to work at our marriage to make it a good and great'
marriage. we both had our own issues and if we had not been'both friends and lovers and worked out all issues we could never
have been happy. we learned along the way, cancer came, heart attacks came, we lost a child at 8 years but we stuck it out and helped eachother.Actually reality is more fun than happily ever after.
My hubby had a rich sense of humor and his laughter inspired mine and made us both happy.

checker so I can edit as I go along as for some reason
my spelling goes bye bye if I type a very long piece .

hi rosekitty nope ours was not a fairytale wedding or marriage it wa s a real one we learned we laughed we fought and made u p, we learned to know each other and we were both lovers and best friends.we went through cancer and heart disease, we lost a child but we managed because we supported each other friends and lovers.

hi ladygator life is more fun than fairytales anyway as you live and learn and are f riends and lovers both,you laugh together and cry together and learn together. you weather cancer and heart disease, and lose a child but we survived because we supported eachother we were there for each other.

I love what you said. Its so true, I have not looked at it like that before. But My husband and I look at it that way. That promise of forever means something to us.

hi tesswhite one yr later I am cleaning up all the discussions I left behind during the badlast year for me.I feel sad to read you hAve had a nightmare of a marriage then got sick.but you Are so right we can only do the best we can with the cards we are given and they have been bAd for me too.I am in a retirement center Gold Crest while my son is in govpaid housing to have a place to live while he hunts for work.
not what I would like but what must be for now.
