Will portable computers replace desktop computers completely?

Greets! What do you mean by portable computers? Like desktop computers that are encased in a small box? Or laptop computers.

The typical reasons as to why I think desktops will stay for awhile is because of ease of upgrading components and system cooling. Smaller portable computers are getting more powerful and in cases cheaper as well and energy efficient, but they got hotter too and as soon as that's resolved, I see little use of the desktop computers.

Yeah, I imagine that they probably will replace them at some point.
Who would want a desktop that you can't take anywhere at the time you can buy a laptop with the same abilities and at the same price.
It will happen at some point in the future I am sure.

If so, I think they would come a time when there would be no desktops. They would be replaced by notebooks. Its very handy, convenient and portable.

Eventually, I believe that portable computers will replace desktops. This is because people nowadays are always after of convenience and comfort and easy lifestyle. Portable PC's have these attributes so in the near future, they will ultimately replace desktops.

i think that eventually they will simply because everyone is always the go and in a hurry. they want something they can always take with them when they travel even when they go to work. they are just so convient and these days everyone is about what is the most convient.

Portable computer, or laptop.. I think It had replace the desktop in many way especially in term of portabality. Many laptop now is upgradable. And for people looking for intensive graphic, they are also gaming laptop available, but of course it come with a huge price. And for over heating, had you heard about cooling pad? You can get it easily at any pc shop. What makes people prefer desktop more is because it is much cheaper than laptop. Laptop with same performance as particular desktop will usually cost more. But if you're comparing its functions, in my opinion, laptop is the best.

i think they will.. the bad thing about them is they usually arent as good stat wise on as much memory etc but i know i will never get a desktop again.. too many people are busy with work and have to work on the go so i assume that they would need their pcs with them

bcuz they need to be cooled and they cant b upgraded easily
and they are very limited inteh thigns u can do with them

I think that desktops will stay in the market still for a long time. They are in general more powerful, have a bigger memory capacity and are easier to update. Besides it will be always more comfortable typing in a classical keyboard than in a laptop condensed keyboard. And there is also the price to consider. Desktops are still far cheaper than laptops.
