Ok so we some realtek thingy on PC,so today while my son was at work/course & my daughter was at school.I decided to mess around with this realtek thingy.I changed all the settings to things like 7.1 speakers & a suround noise like rock & equaliser & well whatever..My son came in & i said speakers are on but theres no sound..i cant go on sing snap..HELP..He says.. ya ninny maw..how many speakers we got attached to pc..i say 2..he says well why ya changed it to 7..Hahaha well how i was supposed to know 7.1 speaker means ya need 7 speakers.. 
Its still no fixed & my son says he has no time to go through all my sh** to fix it.
So who knows how to make speakers work..they turn on but there is no sound?

| |  under sound go to manage audio devices
click on speakers
click configure at the bottom
new box comes up click on stereo.
That is how it is on mine

| |  I have no clue how to make them work. We have a big screen tv and we are trying to set it up fir the better digital programming. My step-dad gave us the stuff for it but he is going to have to hook it up the right way. We had no sounds either. Has to do with the output cable.

| |  Don't feel bad, I've done that before. I have a laptop and expected much more than it was capable of giving. It didnt shut the sound off completely, but it didn't make any difference in the way it sounded either. Guess we just can't get blood out of a turnip, eh L&P?
