school bag or tote?

When I was in high school I had a book bag but it was usually empty. I did my homework in class so I didn't have to take any books hone, unless we had a test, and then I still didn't. I would just study for a few minutes before the test started and usually got no less than a B. My sister said I was blessed to have a great short-term memory and I agree.

I would like to use school bag, which is more convient anyway. Sometimes, I carry very heavy books on my back. If I choose to use a tote bag, my hand must be hurt. Also, when I was on a trip or something, I still used the school bag with snacks, bottled water or something.

I did the tote thing for one year and my shoulder go so sore walking home. And then my strap broke.
I wouldn't use a backpack in a city though, people can take things...

I use a back pack for a bag. I have too many books and supplies to carry around with me in just one tote. I'm not sure how some girls manage to put so many things into a tote without it breaking on them. It amazes me. However, I tend to walk around campus more and don't spend time driving around in a car so I guess that's why I can't rely on tote bags.

I would prefer a school bag a tote would just not cut it.
