Why is it we cant auctually ever own anything

Well let just say that our government need to generate their own funds to be able to deliver the services to the public. We have to pay for our real estate taxes to be able to fund the basic services like the police, military and everything that concerns our own personal security. We have to pay the necessary fees for our cars so that the government could also maintain the roads and everything that our cars are passing through. I guess ideally that is why taxes are imposed on us to become part of the nation building that our government is supposed to do. What is really disgusting is that sometimes our government is full of corrupt officials that tend to use the funds for their own personal gains. But in theory taxes are supposed to be good for us as part of a nation. We just need to be vigilant how they are being utilized by our own governments.

I live in Jersey and they just raised the toll bridge a dollar to go over to Philly. They are planing on doubling it every 2 years. My mom told me its because the money we pay for the bridge instead of using that money to fix the bridges they used it to pay for the baseball parks. So now we have to pay even more because we trusted the government to spend the money we pay on what it was suppose to be spent on and they didn't.

Real estate taxes pay for local schools. License plate taxes pay for roads. Income taxes pay for all the federal programs. Sales tax pays for county and state government. Sure, they're all necessary. But every part of the governnment could be whittled down to be more efficient.
