Do you always say "I love you" to your parents?

Yes I tell my father I love him all the time. He's the type of father that commands respect. If you do something wrong he will tell you and if you do something right, he will say so as well. I don't run around trying to make my father proud or go out of my way to do it, I just be myself and he loves me for it! I had a fantastic teacher and I'm not afraid to tell him so. I also tell my mother in law that I love her. A hug and a kiss as well!

I never miss an opportunity to tell my mother "I love you". It is a daily occurance. I am glad to be able to let her know how I feel. And she says it in return. Life is too short not to. You never know what may happen. I feel better expressing it.

I grew up with my grandparents and emotionally i am not too close to my parents compare to my grandparents. Sometimes, i am saying "I Love You" to them but i feel ackward coz i never do it often. But i do kiss my mom always but to my father i feel stranger to do it, i remember i kiss him every xmas and his birthday but not always. Happy posting.

oh not really, sometimes actions speaks louder than words. I do believe thatmy parents are smart enough to feel my love to them through my actions. They know that everything i did is for them. that's why i won't let them down just to make them feel that i love them even though i am not often says i love them.

We usually say what we feel.
Yes, I do tell my parents that I love them every chance I get.
Last year, my dad suffered a stroke.
Before that happened I was thinking that I have said everything that I've always
wanted to tell him. I thought I have already shown him all the love I've
got to give to a father...
I guess, when that time came, I felt there were still
so much more left unsaid and so much more loving I needed to show.
Thank God my dad's better now...

nope...'m not all that emotionally close to my parents. Of course i love my parents but i dont know how to express it...but the thing that matters is that they luv me and they know i luv them too....

Hi fellow Malaysian. I 'did' often say "i love you" to my parent(in my mother language) But i am 18 now, and saying such word seem weird to me. Its not like i have a bad relationship with my my parent, it just i feel shy to say those word, haha

Unfortunately I live in a family which doesn't express feelings. I*know* that my parents love me, but my Mother never says it and my Father says it once a week when I visit him. I only get hugs from my Mother on special occasions - like birthdays!

I love and respect my parents, but in my country, we don't say " I love you " to each other at random. Even if the one is the lover, we seldom say so. Once when I was at college, the New Year's coming and I was excited to send greeting cards to my parents, brothers and sisters, they didn't have any response. Maybe you'll say it's wierd, but it's the custom, we have our greeting ways.
