If you remember Steve Fossett and his disappearance a little over a year ago then this will definitely be of interesting news. A hiker found some items belonging to Fossett a few days ago and he reported them to the police I believe. Then, since the items were found in the area, they did some searching and ended up finding the wreckage from his plane. This just makes me feel like they should have searched for him in that area instead of just flying around and completely avoiding the search. I feel like, since his items were found a way from the plane that he may have been alive and if they had just searched that area, instead of claiming it was impossible, they may have found him alive. What do you think? And here's the article link so you can read it as well. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26976119/

I heard and seen something about this on television today. It is sad as you said that they just didn't try hard enough to find him and where he went down and unless the stuff was thrown from the plane and he tried to jump before it crashed then I am sure if they put a little more effect instead of excuses they would have found him and possibly alive as you stated.

Not sure, I guess when its your time to go its your time. I'm sure the family will have something to say about it.

Since the first report of his plane and the wreckage of it being found, I've read how they think animals are what scattered some of his belongings farther from where the plane was found. His body, or parts of it were still in the plane from what I have read. Then again I am responding from my e-mail, so I can't read the other responses to see if anyone has heard anything else.

I can't believe it took them that long to find his plane? It's kinda hard to miss a gaping hole in the trees but then again he could have been off the flight plan... At least the family has closure now.
