OCD on top of other mental illnesses

Life with OCD really is a struggle. I also have depression & anxiety. I didn't used to have anxiety it has increased more & more since 9/11 & the economy downfall. They do say if you have one mental illness you usually have others or are more prone to others. I've been on medication before but usually have to stop because of some other ailment that comes with it. I've never been lucky to have a caring Dr.

I think I know what you mean. I have been diagnosed with depression and now I think I am having anxiety attacks. Being around a lot of people make me nervous and it use to not. Little things that shouldn't annoy, really annoy me. I do have a caring doctor, but its a matter of going to him. Good luck to you.

My hubby has been diagnosed with OCD, He has to have our house perfectly clean....allllll the time. And we have 2 kids how live with us and my step daughter is here on the weekend, and I babysit 2 other children. So I know what it is like to live with him. Sometimes very difficult. He also suffers from depression at times but he will not go to a doctor anymore because the doctor we had left the practise so now he will not trust any one else. Some days are better than others.
