Would you adopt an older child? |
|
I know that most couples want babies but what if there aren't any available when you're ready? would you adopt say, a 10 yr old?

2. pumpkinjam (2756) | 4 years ago | If I was ever to want to adopt a child, I don't think it would matter too much how old they were. I know people who would love to adopt an older child because they haven't got all the nappies and potty training, etc. to go through. I think younger adoptive parents should be encouraged to adopt older children, particularly teenagers. They could be so much closer to them and they really would understand things unlike some older parents who can't really remember or it was different when they were growing up so they actually don't understand.

4. anj571 (934) | 4 years ago | Yes I would adopt an older child. My husband and I are foster parents. We've taken in 3 boys over the ages of 8 in the last 5 years. If the chance would have came up for us to adopt any one of them, I would have done it in a minute.
