In India,we are now celebrating "Durga Puja" with all pomp and festivity as a part of the nine day long festval " Nava ratri ".The name of the Goddess Durga implies the deity who desroys all the evil and destructive forces and protects her devotees from all crises and obstacles. " Durga" is the source of supreme energy or Sakti expressed in all forms of life and phenomena that exist in the universe." Durga" is the manifested reality of universal consciousness, and is the source of all aspects of creation.Mother Goddess "Durga" releases us from the illusive bondage and attachment to the ephimeral and transient worldly life to help realize our true identity with the Absolute consciousness, the Brahma.
