It is unbelievable how many things in our daily life was invented by Germans.
let me only list a few things:
Konrad Zuse - the first freely programmable Computer
Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin - rigid dirigible a lighter-than-air vehicle (Wellknown as Zeppelin)
Werner von Siemens - first electric elevator
Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen - the x-rays
Nikolaus August Otto - a Four-Stroke Internal-Combustion Engine, called the Otto Cycle Engine
Hermann Oberth - a rocket scientiest
Werner von Braun - the V1 and V2, the first rockets
Paul Nipkow - the first electromechanical television
Karl von Linde - process of liquifying gas a part of the basic refrigeration technology
Felix Hoffmann - Aspirin
Johannes Gutenberg - printing maschine
Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit - alcohol thermometer
Rudolf Diesel - the Diesel Engine

| |  We are just smarter, lol. But you can probably put together a long list of inventions from people in other nations. The US, Japan, and China come to mind. If you go further back Italy, Greece, Egypt, Persia. As long as there is a drive to make life better and a country has a certain level of prosperity, there'll be more inventors there.

You are right that many other countries have Inventors, like Thomas Edison, Martin Cooper (Mobile Phone) or Alexander Graham Bell.
The Wright Brothers invented a motor driven Plane. Wow!!! The Motor was invented by german, the airplane was invented by german. They only fixed it together. So their Invention is based on Germans again.
