i had to get out of the contaminated water. i walked across the room naked.   

when i woke up this morning it was from a strange dream. had a guy, tom, i have known for 16 years in it. when i met tom i was in the 7th grade and he was a year older. all through school we were acquantiances. never dated or really hung out together, although we flirted a bit. after i was out of school i didnt ever run into him for a couple years. i married and found out that he was my (ex)hubbys cousin and they were close. the three of us worked together for about a year. tom was on my team at work and we worked next right next to eachother. we talked and had a good time at work. my ex and i started having trouble in the marriage, tom was concerned and talked to both of us about it. he ended up taking my side even though i told him blood was thicker than water. after my divorce we ran into eachother again. he asked me for my # and although i sholdnt have i gave it to him i did, but the same day he and his wife made up for the kid that he had raised even though he wasnt his. thats great. everyone needs a daddy. anyway i have seen him out and about a couple times, we always say hi but thats about it. i havent thought about him for close to 5 years now.

now that you have a little bit of a background here is the dream!

i dont know where we lived but it was some kind of huge building with lots of rooms and maybe a hundred people living in it. there was a giant kitchen and several community rooms. one with a couple tvs and another a library with tons of books and some furniture. a community kitchen and a bath house out back. the bath house was under construction. had shower stalls and a couple bath tubs and a couple toilets. everything in the bath house was covered in black plastic for privacy. and there was a wooden frame for the bath house but the walls were clear plastic still. in the beginning of the dream i was sitting in a quiet corner of the library, smoking a cigarette. tom walked in and said "i heard you were here" i jumped up and gave him a huge hug. we talked about how hard it was to live with everyone we know being gone. we cried and laughed. it was a good and a sad time. we ended up falling asleep kinda cuddled up to keep warm. the next thing i know i am in the bath. now there are a couple construction guys running around still working but that was no big deal. everyone in the house had gotten used to not much privacy. there was a guy checking the safety of the water and walked right through the plastic that was around the tub i was in. i covered my self and asked him what he thought he was doing. he laughed and stuck his water tester in my bath water. said it was contaminated and that i needed to get out immediately. took my cloths and put them all the way across the room and left. i looked around a second to see if there was something i could cover up with to get my clothes and there was not. when i was looking around i saw tom and his friends. tom was smiling at me. i think he had been watching me the whole time. well "F" it i said out loud and got out of the tub knowing that tom and several others would see me. what was i to do, i had to get out of the contaminated water. i walked across the room naked to get my clothes while i was whistled and hollered at. men! anyway, the next flash of the dream was tom and i, fully dressed, laying on a large bedding mat. his head was at one end and mine was at the other but we had our legs tangled together. was so warm. the next flash was tom hugging me and telling me something.

what he said was: "this is just a dream. in real life you will be ok. i will always have a place for you if you need anything. take care and never lose the love in your heart for other people. you will be fine, i know it."
