After High School

I don't keep up with one single soul from high school. When I first went away to college, we (my little clique) kept in touch for about the first year. But after that, I met new people, people with the same & similar (new) interests as mine. I grew up, we grew apart. I met different friends- after all, my interests changed and so did theirs. Then after leaving college and going into the working world (I became a high school teacher) my interests changed again and I got a whole new set of friends. Then as I grew up, changed jobs, started my own business, got married, had kids, etc etc - I acquired many new sets of friends. No regrets - nothing but happy memories of all the friends I've made along the way. It's life - love it, embrace it, don't be afraid or sad - you have a big heart and a wonderful thoughtful mind - you'll do fantastic! I'm excited for you too! Good luck to you!

I very rarely talk to my friends from high school. Freshman year we talked occassionally. I try to keep in touch now, but they don't seem to bother with me. I found out that they had get togethers and birthday parties that I wasn't invited to. They all stayed in state, though, and I moved to a school about 400 miles away. I can't visit them every weekend.

Congratulations!!! It's kind of funny, we all separated our own ways with different schools and every once in awhile I still see a familiar face here and there but nothing more than casual talk. Sad I know but when you're not in that surrounding you kind of move to the next setting. Your time is kind of constrained. It might be different for you. Well, enjoy university...I hope you're planning to go and don't party too hard. Just kidding. Take cares.

For me, none of them from high school ever existed in my life now. I am making new friends after high school.

After highschool? I still keep in touch with some of them. But its only through ym or texting. Cause I moved on to another place. So, the only communication that I can have with them is through that. But once a year, I go there to visit my family and friends as well.

Congrats on that man but it's time to move on. You're now entering a new phase of life and this time for real. Only a few from hundreds of my high school friends are keeping in touch with me.

hello stegeo.. I understand what you feel since I've been unto it.after our graduation in high school I was thinking that evrything will chnage since not all of us are going in the same college and the same courses.. I think we will lost communication since we will be getting busy in our college life.. but I was wrong.. eventhough we study in diffferent colleges or university we still keep our communication through texting only.. but there are alos time where we see each other and hang out once again.. actually our class presidents has called for a meeting for our upcoming class gathering.. I am so excited for it specially that it will be the day before my birthday..they are still the same as what they are in high school... they haven't change.. they still show the care that they give me when we are still in high school.. I remember that a day before our graduation we promised to not chnage and stay who we are.. I just hope that you and your classmates will still talk after your gaduation... happy mylotting and GOD BLESS....!

You see, we can talk to each other via internet,
We also have cell phones to communicate each other.
I think the distance is not the problem,
What is important is that you are real friends!
Enjoy your last highschool time with your friends!

Hello to everyone! High school for me was the best compared to when I was in college. I made friends with everyone and we all got along pretty well. Now that I finished my degree and working, I call my high school friends once in a while so we could get a coffee and just talk about anything. We do participate still in reunions and we laugh at all the things we've experienced when we were still in the four corners of our classroom.
