We all watch television as a source of recreation but do we guide our children?  | |  Television is one of the best sources for recreation through its worldwide music, drama, cinema and sports programs. This media is also equally important for telecasting political & economical features, weather forcasts, Agricultural & social development, commercial advertisements and many other prorams.
After coming from office I cannot think without television. Reularly I watch TV news. My wife likes to watch cooking programs & different drama series. My 02 sons watch cartoon channels and other commedian programs regularly. If we don't press our sons for reading, they continue watching TV. This tendency is increasing day by day. We are bit worried for this reason. We are guiding them regularly for reading and home work. We also try to make them busy with other games and activities.

| | | | | | 1.  BubblyIan (569) | 1 year ago |  Beware! TV is very bad for children and bad for everyone as when you turn the TV on you turn your brain off! ALmost all TV programmes are mind-numbing. Very few make you think and allow you to interact.
Do what i do before it is too late - throw away your TV, save hundreds of dollars a year and use the internet for gathering your information. You can interact with it (like Mylot), make friends, chat, and learn as well as listen/read what YOU want to not controlled by the prejudiced and opinionated media editors. Try it - it's liberating!
